Young people in The Gambia vow to produce OneMinutesJr videos on their rights

25 August 2014 - The Gambia today began its first ever OneMinutesJr workshop in Mansakonko, Lower River Region, which kick-started with an opening ceremony attended by the Governor and local government officials from the region, UNICEF Deputy Representative and the Director of the Department of Information Services, among other dignitaries.

The 5-day workshop, organized by the Young People in the Media, will provide 20 children and adolescents between the ages 12 – 20 year-old from around the country, especially those who are the most underprivileged and marginalized, the opportunity to make their voices heard through short and powerful 60 seconds videos that focus on child rights issues.
