after last yearís success, the irish public broadcaster rte decided to organize its second oneminutesjr workshop in dublin. the workshop took place on rte premises from june 26-30. 20 youngsters in the age of 17 till 20 from all over ireland came to dublin to participate. most of the youngsters plan to study film, art or journalism or are already doing that.

in the week the workshop lasted we made 20 fresh one minutes. there wasn't a specific topic for the workshop, because rte wanted the youngsters to talk as freely as they could about themes that interest them. the subjects varied from 'contemporary feminism' to 'scary king
transforms into a nice one after seeing a flower'!

all these oneminutes will be broadcast at rte two in the autumn of 2006. rte is interested in giving young people a voice who normally would never have the chance to express themselves creatively on national television. they would like to put these voices on tv and share with a broad audience the thoughts of these youngsters.

all the irish videos that were produced are of course part of the international one minutes jr. competition and will be available on theoneminutejr website.
